What About Bob Scrivano

Bob Scrivano is an independent senior care consultant and financial planning specialist based in Sacramento. For over 20 years, he has been the host of the weekly radio program Assets & Aging: Affording the Future on KFBK 1530AM / 93.1FM. The program is broadcast LIVE every Sunday evening from 7:00-8:00pm.

Broadcast on KFBK since 1998, the call-in show is California’s longest running feature devoted to senior issues, long-term care preparation, Medi-Cal, estate planning, veterans benefits, nursing homes, assisted living, in-home care, you name it.

Bob has also been a guest on several radio and television programs, most notably in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Springs, San Diego, San Jose and Santa Rosa, including KCRA-TV’s “Health Call Live” and Tom Sullivan’s KFBK show “Ask the Experts“, among many others.

He has been the subject of a number of newspaper and magazine features, and has authored many by-lined articles and editorials that have appeared in periodicals all over California, including the Los Angeles Daily News, The Sacramento Bee, Sacramento Magazine, Outword Magazine, The San Diego Union, The Chico Enterprise-Record, Southern California Senior Life, and The Sacramento Business Journal.

His experience as a consultant has given him a wealth of knowledge and insight into the many considerations facing senior citizens and their families, from the legislative and bureaucratic to the logistical and practical to the emotional and intimate and personal. He understands what families can expect when trying to care for a loved one with disabilities or diminished competence. He understands how to navigate all the diverse and overwhelming financial challenges, but realizes that the challenges are never only financial.

A senior citizen himself, Bob has devoted his career to learning about late-life decision making and helping families make informed and responsible decisions about how best to ensure their future security and dignity. In an industry that is rapidly being flooded by opportunistic newcomers, his long tenure in the field and in the region uniquely equips him to serve his clients more reliably and knowledgeably than most.

Most critically, he is thoroughly equipped to help you answer two crucial questions:

  • Who is going to take care of me (or my loved one) when I am old and frail?
  • How is that care going to be paid for?

Bob holds a California Insurance License (#0507192) and is a registered Legal Document Assistant in Sacramento County (expires 08/24/2022).

When he is not working to help California families deal with the overwhelming issues that can come with aging, Bob enjoys grilling, reading the news, golfing, watching sports and TV mysteries, eating Italian food, spending time with his wife and twin sons, and relaxing with the occasional cigar.
